Hong Kong Sailing Training — Optimist Class Youth Team Competition Development Program

This program is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Schools Sailing Association (HKSSA) and the Plover Cove Sailing Club (PCSC).
HKSSA is one of the 14 professional sailing training institutions recognized by the Hong Kong Sailing Federation. We not only offer internationally certified courses but are also qualified to form student teams for participation in various competitions!

Eligibility:

• Aged 8–13

• Must possess Youth Sailing Level 3 or 4 Certificate

• Must be able to swim at least 50 meters in open water
  *Applicants with relevant experience who do not yet hold Level 3 or 4 certificates may enroll in the certificate training program held concurrently.

  Program Details:

  • Training Schedule: Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays

  • Training Arrangement: Each phase includes 4 self-selected training days (additional days can be purchased). Team members must complete all 4 days per phase.

  • Training Content: Race rule analysis, practical skill development, team practice races, and a customized training plan tailored to target competitions.

    Fees:

    • Training Fee: HK$2,600 / phase (includes 4 days of coaching, boat rental, equipment, and facility usage)

    • Competition Fee: TBC (approximately HK$3,000 per event, subject to actual entry fees, coaching, equipment, and miscellaneous costs)

本計劃由 香港學校風帆協會（HKSSA） 與 船灣帆船會（PCSC） 聯合主辦。
HKSSA 是香港帆船運動總會認可的14家專業訓練機構之一，不僅提供國際認可證書課程，更有資格組織學員代表隊參加各類賽事！

📋 參加資格：
– 年滿 8-13 歲
– 必須已獲取少年帆船等級三或四證書
– 必須具備在開放水域游泳至少50米的能力
*如未獲三或四級證書但具相關經驗，可報名參加同期舉辦的證書訓練班

🗓️ 培訓詳情:

• 上課時間：星期六、日及公眾假期

• 訓練安排：每期自選4天訓練（可加購額外天數），代表隊隊員須完成每期4日訓練。

• 培訓內容：比賽規則解析、實戰技巧訓練、團隊模擬賽等，針對目標賽事定制計劃。
